this stuff really works for me
I've had frizzy hair my whole life, and have tried EVERYTHING, but nothing helped my hair. Until this stuff came along. It truly makes my hair less frizzy and more shiny! Nothing will ever make my hair totally straight and shiny, except changing my gene-pool (impossible, of course). But this is the best stuff I've ever used. I live in North Carolina and it's hot and humid more than anything else, and this is amazing, and I'm very serious.
If you use enough, it works great!
I have longish fine somewhat wavy hair that is colored and a bit dry. If I use a heavy-duty conditioner, it gets totally weighed down and limp. I like the fuller look without all the conditioner, but then I have frizz unless it's a really low-humidity day. This product solved the problem. When I first used it, I only sprayed the top layers. But the underneath contributes to the frizzies too. Once I used the 20-30 sprays recommended in the Living Proof video, and thoroughly saturated ALL my hair, it worked great. It doesn't weigh it down at all and gives the hair a shine and a smooth feel. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that you have to use a LOT.
Works on my baby fine hair in SC summer humidity!
My over-processed (coloring to cover the resistant gray) ultra-fine hair has gotten even more frizzy as it has gotten more gray. It has never been straight or decently wavy--just sort of like cotton batting-- in the humidity of our summers, unless I really greased it up--yuck! I have tried John Frieda in varying amounts, pretty much every leave-in conditioner on the market, every spray-on, serum, cream -- you name it, plus every hairspray, including, with some success, Elnett. I have blow-dried, flat-ironed, curling-ironed, hot-rollered, wet-rollered -- nothing results in anything resembling a style after five minutes in our humidity. A salon blow-out, except it looks greasy in a few hours--sheesh!
This stuff really works, but as another reviewer notes--you really have to saturate your hair. The underneath counts. The upside is that I get a salon quality blow dry in a few minutes, that lasts all day!No greasy, lots of shine.
Wish it didn't cost so much, but when I figure in all the hardly-used products in my bathroom....
